In 2006 two professionals with over 50 years of combined contract administration, engineering and construction experience joined forces to create Edgewater Construction Services - a company with a window into the inner workings of the built environment from the perspective of the facility owner, the designer, and the construction project manager. Edgewater Construction Services is helmed by Jim Collins, a Service Disabled Veteran and licensed Professional Engineer with 35 years of construction experience with over 20 years of service in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) family with the US Navy Seabees and Civil Engineer Corps and Rich Marano with 35 years of construction experience.

Edgewater Construction Services first began its operations in January 2006. We are located in Chesapeake, Virginia, and are striving to build a reputation of being client focused and consummate professionals. Edgewater is owned and operated by two construction professionals with a combined experience of 50 years in this industry. They have a keen understanding that a successful project is competed safely, on time, within budget, balanced with the highest quality. The owners have experience in different localities and have executed various sized projects ranging from $50K to $86M. Edgewater is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned class “A” commercial general contractor with experience, integrity and an understanding that our success is based on the client’s satisfaction.
